Congratulations to the Winn Park Award Recipients

Our congratulations go out to Amanda Menschel, Assoc. AIA, Arturo Ruiz-Martell, Spencer Binkerd and Lisa May of the team at BCA Architects for their winning submittal of the Albert Winn Park AIACV Emerging Professionals competition. The winner will receive their grand prize of $2,500 at the awards presentation, to be held at the AIACV 75TH Anniversary Gala on September 23rd.

Corporate Design Group, Inc.(CDG) was proud to partner with AIA Central Valley to donate the services that provided all the participants with Lasertech Floorplans as-built CAD files of the abandoned fire communications building located in Winn Park. "Providing the files facilitated higher participation in the competition and supported the efforts of the City of Sacramento in partnership with AIACV to revitalize this historic portion of the community. We greatly appreciate CDG's involvement". - Kim Anderson, Hon. AIACV

AIACV Supports City of Sacramento Revitalization

CDG representative, Rudy Saenz was on site with the Emerging Professionals architects who were initially invited to tour the space ahead of the competition submittals.  The goal of the competition was to create a positive interest in a renewed community amenity.  Rudy provided all participants with the “before” photos along with the accurate as-built CAD files on thumb drives, allowing all participants to have consistent baseline documentation of the space.

“CDG has been a vital part of The Winn Park renovation project.  The facilitation of Lasertech Floorplan in providing CAD files for the building was instrumental to the City of Sacramento in achieving its goal for a great project”. - Tim Padden, Project Manager, City of Sacramento Economic Development
